Well done Ringo the cat:
For 3 days running, a rat came down from the area in the hills behind Bellaluz pool and sent sunbathers jumping onto their sunloungers to escape this terrorising beast. Women and men alike jumped on top of their sunloungers whilst children looked on with interest at this creature as it ambled slowly underneath the bathers, stopping now and then to catch a little bit of shade. It was said to be incredibly cute for a rat by many who saw it at close hand. On day 4 Ringo the cat who is owned by Shakers Bar in Bellaluz Plaza was in residence poolside and as Ringo is known as a cat with attitude by all who know him, quickly dispatched said rat to a higher place and peace reigned once again poolside. Wini Wood, the pool supervisor that day scooped the rat into a box to scare the children with, (only joking) and showed the dead rat to any interested children so that they could look and learn and hopefully wouldnt be scared in the future.
Ringo - the hero of the day has since been rewarded with a new bright green collar for his efforts and he was heard to comment that it was a bit sparkly for his liking but it would have to do.
This is a timely reminder for all cat owners in Bellaluz that all owned cats should be collared and have an ID tag or capsule. Also all owned cats in Bellaluz should also have access to a litter tray to help prevent fouling problems on other peoples terraces and also on any white stoned areas.
